Uttoxeter MM Dancing a stick dance from the Lichfield Tradition called "Vandals of Hammerwich". This figure, two lines of four, facing towards the music is called 'heading up'. The venue is Shugborough Hall. The Lichfield tradition is unusual in that it is danced with eight men, rather than the six which is more usual for Cotswold Morris. I knew you always wanted to know that - see how interesting Morris Dancing is? It's full of arcane rubbish like that. If you have an interest in arcane rubbish and are reasonably fit, then why not come and join us? Beware! Once you are 'in' it is a lifetime obsession...if you are faint hearted, do not apply.
